Why oh why?... (DUAL) by Neo101 Why oh why?... (DUAL) by Neo101
...didn't I take the blue pill?

:boogie:

Ok, a dual-display version of this WP!

For interest sake (and those of you who really need to know...)

The single-screen version took about three hours to render to a sampling rate of 8.

(The lower the sampling rate, the more grain and less detail.)

This one I had rendering for FOURTEEN hours, and it only managed to get up to about 11 on the sampling rate!

So to get a clean and crisp look out of maxwell (the maximum Sampling rate is 50, and the default is 25) may take quite some time...

Hope you like!!

:D

Looking at it now, it reminds me (a little) of some of the first Sony Bravia Ads - with the bouncing balls going down the street...

Thank you! :D

And as for using my images, Of course! I would prefer that you at least keep the sig I've left on them (I'm guessing this goes without saying...)

I appreciate the fact that you ask!

(To everyone else out there: this is how I think it should work, there's no problem in using someone else's images - for nonprofit stuff obviously - but it's just good manners to ask!)

Man, I'm going to add you to my friends list, even if it is only because you asked!

Best 14 hours your computer ever spent, In my opinion. This is not only cool looking, it's thought-provoking and actually good as art for it's own sake.

Plus I'm going to put it on a Dualview Linux desktop.... what could be more fitting?

Good job.

It's very cool, but would be even more if less grainy! :)

I know!!

I'm honestly just too lazy to have a render running for days on end...
Yes, I know it sounds defeatist, but I don't have acess to a dedicated rendering rig.

...yet :plotting:

Thank you for the comment!

I gave the demo version of Maxwell a try.. and I wasn't too happy... basically because I gave up :) But perhaps I'll give it another try now that 1.0 is out.

By all means!

If you have the patience for long render times, or if you have a separate rendering rig, I would definitely reccomend it!

I really like how the red pill stands out in this picture.

Much better, but still grainy. I would still like to see it at an even higher sampling rate, say about 25 or 30 ;)
